Namaste ! Thank you so much for your intrest in learning Kathak with me.This course is for the students who are complete beginners or who want to revisit their learnings after a gap.
The admissions will occur on a first come first serve basis(i.e first payment received, first admission)

Course Details

Class description - Online and In Person Kathak level 1 beginners
Start date- 9th August 2026 Sunday,Westmead
Dates of the course( 9th Aug, 6th Sep , 27th Sep, 25th Oct,22nd Nov, (Dec-Jan -BREAK), 28th Feb, 21st March, 18th April, 23rd May, 20th June)
Time- 10-2PM AEST . Please check your local region time for enrolling!
Enrolment closing Date- 31st July 2026 ( or until capacity is reached)
Language- Primarily English
Course Duration -10 months ( off in December, January)
Duration - 4hr/month- 1 Sunday
Experience level- Beginners or no dance background
Age group - 13 and above
Class facilitation- Each class will consist of physical training including riyaaz and teachings of Kathak. The class will end with Kathak based choreography . This will provide you a repertoire of songs to perform on stage when you are ready.
Class goal - To preserve and pass down tradition Kathak with simultaneously preparing students for stage.
Exam- If you want to give exams, please let us know in advance. Exams are conducted through Akhil Bhartiya Gandharva Mahavidyalya. Exam fees is seperate payable to the centre , the details will be told to you near to the exam.
What you will need for the class (online students)- Stable internet connection and a laptop (with table) with a full body view and space for you to move around! A set of ghungroos. a notebook or shared google docs with your peers dedicated to taking Kathak notes.
Dress code- Salwar Kameer or Kurti and leggings/churidaar. hair tied back neatly and Ghungroos!
